The the 1772 Foundation, in cooperation with the New Jersey Historic Trust, offers Capital Preservation Grants, up to $15,000, available to nonprofit organizations for repair and restoration projects. The grants require a one-to-one match from the grant recipient.
As of 2019, the Trust and the 1772 Foundation will no longer offer the small, matching grant program.
The 2020 Grant Round is now open! Please note, the application deadline has been extended to June 4, 2020 at 4:00pm. The application and all supporting materials are due no later than 4:00pm on Thursday, June 4, 2020. If you are having trouble completing all of the required attachments, please reach out to NJHT staff directly.

Applications are accepted at any time throughout the fiscal year, July 1 - June 30, until the annual allocation has been exhausted.
Applications must be received by the following dates to be considered at the subsequent board meeting:
