The Battleship New Jersey, in commission from 1941 to 1991, is the country's most decorated battleship, serving in World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and providing a shield in El Salvador and Lebanon in the late 20th century. She is a product of the local shipbuilding and technology industries in Camden and the Greater Philadelphia area.  The ship retains a high degree of integrity and now serves as a museum that is open to the general public and targets school groups.

The 2022 & 2021 Trust grant helped fund the teak deck replacement for areas 8 and 9.

The 2020 Trust grant helped fund the replacement of large sections of the teak deck. The 2008 Trust grant helped fund a replacement teakwood deck that will ensure walking safety of tour groups and protect the steel under deck. A previous Trust grant helped fund safety and accessibility plans that allowed a new below-deck tour route to open for public tours.
