Municipality: Sandyston Township

The Peters Valley Historic District consists of a village of approximately twenty buildings. The buildings date from as early as the late eighteenth century through to the late nineteenth century and consist primarily of former and current residences along with barns, churches and a former store. The buildings currently house residences for students and instructors as well as workshop spaces, administrative offices, and a craft store associated with Peters Valley Craft Center.

The historic district is located within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The buildings are owned by the National Park Service. Peters Valley Craft Center has a General Agreement with the National Park Service regarding use of the buildings for the craft center. The buildings' conditions range from poor to good.

The Trust grant helped fund the preparation of a facility master plan for the Peters Valley Historic District. The plan will guide future restoration of the district's historic buildings as well as assist in making use and maintenance decisions at the site.
