The current Morristown Library building was constructed in 1917 by noted library architect Edward Lippincott Tilton in the Collegiate Gothic style, complementing the existing Gothic Revival church located across the street. The building was constructed as a public library and has remained in its original use for the past 106 years.

The 2023 Trust grant will help fund repairs to the Willis Wing at the Morristown & Morris Township Library, including mitigating water infiltration through the masonry walls, restoring the original entry doors, and preserving the leaded glass windows.

The 2010 Trust grant funded the masonry restoration of the building, guided by a preservation plan and a masonry condition assessment.
